Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Roch Dog Inc. ("Roch Dog", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and keeps your personal information when you use Kali, the AI canine concierge, through kaliconcierge.com, WhatsApp, and email. We have written it plainly because you should know exactly what we hold and why.

1. What we collect

When you message Kali, we collect your phone number, email address, name, and the content of your messages. You may also tell us about your dog, including name, breed, size, age, dietary needs, and health notes, and you may share your location so Kali can find nearby places and clinics. We collect basic technical and usage data to operate and secure the service, and where you interact with Kali through a hotel, we collect the context of that stay.

2. How we use it

We use this information to answer your questions, find dog friendly places, trails, vets, and travel information for you, handle bookings and introductions, keep the service secure, improve it, and meet our legal and accounting obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

3. When you use Kali through a hotel

Kali is offered both directly by Roch Dog and as a service deployed by dog friendly hotels. When you use Kali through a hotel, both that hotel and Roch Dog handle your information. The hotel uses it in connection with your stay. Roch Dog operates the Kali platform and keeps a profile of your details, preferences, and conversation history so that Kali can help you again, including after your stay and at other places you travel. This is how the global concierge works. You can ask us to delete your profile at any time, and if a hotel stops using Kali, your relationship with Roch Dog as a Kali user continues only until you ask us to end it.

4. Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf under contract: Cloudflare for hosting, storage, and compute; Anthropic for the AI model behind Kali, which does not train its models on data sent through its interface; Twilio for WhatsApp message delivery; Airtable for our records; Plausible for cookieless website analytics; and our email and payment providers. We may also share information with professional advisers under confidentiality, and with authorities where the law requires it.

5. Sensitive information

Some of what you share, such as your dog's health notes and your precise location, is more sensitive. We use it only to provide the service you asked for, such as finding the nearest open clinic, and we do not use it for advertising or sell it. You can decline to share location, and you can ask us to delete sensitive details we hold.

6. How long we keep it

If you have not been approved as a full user, your messages are held only briefly in a temporary cache and then discarded. For active users, we keep your conversation history and profile while your relationship with us is active and for a limited period afterwards, then delete or anonymise it. Payment and accounting records are kept for as long as the law requires. You can ask us to delete your data sooner, and we will, unless we are legally required to keep it.

7. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, including under the laws of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon, and other US states, you may have the right to know what we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, to opt out of any sale or sharing for targeted advertising (which we do not do), and to limit the use of sensitive information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. To make a request, email [email protected]. 8. Users in the UK and the EEA

If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, the UK GDPR and EU GDPR apply to our processing of your personal data. We rely on the performance of our service to you, our legitimate interest in operating and securing the platform, your consent where required, and our legal obligations. You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability. As a US company we process your data in the United States and rely on appropriate safeguards for that transfer. To exercise your rights, email [email protected].

9. Children

Kali is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We protect your information with encryption in transit, access controls, and regular review. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to keep your data safe.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The effective date above shows the latest version, and we will take reasonable steps to tell you about material changes.
